Instructions for using impact drill bits
Installation adaptation: According to the connection method of the pneumatic drilling rig, select the corresponding impact drill bit interface to ensure a firm installation without looseness and avoid detachment during operation. ​
Startup and Operation: Before starting the drilling rig, ensure that the drill bit is aligned with the drilling position and maintained at a vertical or desired angle. After starting, first touch the working surface at low speed, and then gradually increase the speed and feed force after the drill stably cuts in. For different materials, adjust the feed force. For soft materials, increase the feed force appropriately to improve efficiency. For hard materials, apply pressure slowly to avoid overloading. ​
Chip removal coordination: During the drilling process, the rotation and impact action of the drilling rig are used in conjunction with the chip removal groove to timely remove debris. If you find that the chip removal is not smooth, you can retract the drill bit appropriately, clean up the debris, and then continue the operation. ​
Precautions for impact drill bits
Inspection and maintenance: Before use, check whether the drill bit has cracks, broken edges, or other damages, and whether the cutting edge is sharp. If there are any problems, replace or repair them in a timely manner. After use, clean the debris and dirt on the surface of the drill bit, especially the residue in the chip groove, then apply anti rust oil and store it properly in a dry place to prevent rusting. ​
Safety protection: Wear protective equipment such as helmets, goggles, gloves, etc. during work to avoid flying debris and injuring people. In high-altitude operations or slippery environments, safety fixing measures should be taken to prevent the drilling rig and personnel from falling. ​
Avoid improper operation: Do not forcefully drill holes on materials that exceed the rated diameter of the drill bit to avoid damaging the drill bit and drilling rig. When encountering hard objects such as steel bars, do not forcefully impact them. Instead, slowly rotate and grind through or replace the appropriate drill bit to prevent it from cracking. ​
Cooling and heat dissipation: In hard materials or continuous operations, water cooling or oil mist cooling can be used to cool the drill bit, avoiding increased wear or performance degradation caused by high temperatures.
