1. Compressed air generation and transmission:
Firstly, high-pressure compressed air is generated by an air compressor. Air compressors are driven by power devices such as electric motors or diesel engines to suck in and compress air, increasing its pressure. Compressed air is transported through pipelines to various working components of the drilling rig.
2. Principle of impact drilling:
Compressed air is transported inside the drill rod and then reaches the drill bit. At the drill bit, compressed air is sprayed out at high speed through special nozzles or air holes, forming a strong airflow. This high-speed airflow drives the drill bit to perform impact motion, continuously impacting the rock at the bottom of the well and breaking it into small pieces. At the same time, the pressure difference formed by the airflow at the bottom of the well can also help carry rock debris to the surface.
3.Rotary drilling principle:
In addition to impact motion, pneumatic water well drilling machines also rotate the drill rod and drill bit. Usually, the rotation of the drill rod is achieved through pneumatic motors or other transmission devices. Rotating drill bits can more effectively break rocks and make the broken rock fragments easier to be carried out of the wellhead by airflow. 4. Slag discharge and wall protection:
During the process of impact and rotary drilling, high-pressure airflow also plays an important role in slag discharge. The airflow blows the broken rock debris upwards along the annular space between the drill pipe and the wellbore, thereby maintaining the cleanliness of the wellbore and avoiding the accumulation of rock debris that affects drilling efficiency. At the same time, for some unstable formations, a special protective medium (such as mud, etc.) can be injected into the well to form a layer of protective wall on the wellbore wall, preventing the collapse of the wellbore wall.
